It’s always good to win. However, Dallas and I are so excited and thankful for Good Magic who finished second in Kentucky Derby 144. It's been exciting to watch Good Magic's progress on the Kentucky Derby Trail – 20 months ago he was one of our best of sale picks at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
I like what trainer Chad Brown said of Good Magic in a BloodhorseDaily online magazine article:

He came out of the race really well, Brown said of Good Magic's runner-up effort. I'm so proud of this horse and the way he ran and prepared for this race. He was so straightforward and focused. We asked him to do something, and he did it. Even the track—he handled the track fine—so no excuses there. He ran terrific. He was just second-best.

Dallas and I wish Good Magic much success and we are looking forward to watch him as he continues to thrill and excite in the remaining races on the Triple Crown Trail.
