Hello everyone. Welcome to the 21st Century Thoroughbred.
Occasionally I will profile
a race that is not on the Kentucky Derby Trail and in the Travers Stakes (G1)
this Saturday at Saratoga Racecourse there are three horses I like as potentials
to finish in the money or, perhaps, upset.
Rich Strike is 10-1
on the morning line and he was my pick to upset in the Kentucky Derby. Gilded
Age and Ain’t Life Grand are horses I profiled as yearlings at auction, and
they have the breeding be a factor in this race.
Last but not the
least, Epicenter has been tabbed as the 7-5 morning-line favorite. I liked him
in the Kentucky Derby, and I like him in this race, too.
Post time for the Travers Stakes is 5:44 p.m. Eastern Time.
