A
total of 99 horses have been nominated
to run in the 84th Arkansas Derby (G1) on May 2 and, according to
Oaklawn Park Racing Secretary Pat Pope, if 20 horsemen commit to run in
the race there’s a possibility that it will be split into two divisions.
Currently,
Classic Champion Thoroughbreds, LLC has 43 horses profiled at auction that are nominated
to the 2020 Triple Crown Trail. And, of the 99 Arkansas Derby (G1) nominations,
15 were profiled as yearlings at auction.
