Classic Champion Thoroughbreds Reaches Milestone With 100,000 Page Views

Amidst family gatherings and reminisces along with ample portions of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and all the delectable goodies to make the waistline grow and inch or two, it’s easy to lose track of time during the holiday season of Thanksgiving and celebration.
Sometime over the holiday weekend, unbeknownst to me, my Classic Champion Thoroughbreds blog reached a significant milestone when the 100,000th visitor read one of my blog posts. I knew that day was near as I periodically check my blog history. But, I was not anywhere near my computer when the visitor stopped by to read my blog.
Whenever significant events happen in my life, I always take the time to reflect upon them and give thanks when thanks is due. And, I think it’s very fitting that the 100,000th visit to my blog occurred during this season of Thanksgiving.
When I created Classic Champion Thoroughbreds in June of 2009, I had no idea if anyone would ever read a word I wrote. But, horses and racing are my passions and I had a lot to write about those subjects. And, I still have much to write about – especially about horses and the powerful influence of the Ancestral Herd.
People all over the world read Classic Champion Thoroughbreds and, today, the current number of visits to my blog is 100,124. For that, I am truly thankful. Thank you to all who read my blog and thanks to those who contribute comments. I appreciate all of your insights, comments and look forward to reading your commentary in the future.

Sincerely,
Calvin

  1. Congratulations Calvin :) I don't know for sure if I was number 100,000 buttZ... I hope I was . I come around a few times each week to read what's new and review the archives. I came around half a doZen times over the weekend :) It's always fun and informative to read or reread your blog.
Switching gears Honor Code is a Tied Top 7,8,13 * 1,2,3 * 4 . He's extremely unlikely to win our Derby or any TC race. He might be a decent horse though.
There has been some talk at formblog about Flat Out as a stallion prospect . Flat Out is a BSB 1 . He has 10- 1s ... four 2s,3s,8s &13s ... 3 -14s . Every foal he gets is going to have at least 7 -1s . If he has mares that bring a few 1s to the table he'll be getting loaded 1s. If the mare happens to be a TF 1 he'll get some with a ton of ones like Spend a Buck , Dr.Fager, Dancing Brave, Seattle Slew etc.
There are some cheap fillies down in Texas & up in Washington that are part of Reason To Earn's ancestral herd. Any which one of those put to Flat Out could cause a revival... That's my theory anyway :)
If he can attract some TF 2s or 3s with a couple of 1s mixed in he can get some BSB 1 * 2 * 3 s . Of course I haven't done every horse that ever existed buttZ... I've done thousands and the only 1 * 2 * 3s I recall off hand are PHARLAP :) Dancing Brave & MikeA & SteveTs boy Silent Name.
Congrats again on the milestone Calvin . I'll do my part to get you to 200,000 :)

    Respectfully
    BSB

  3. Hi Calvin, It's the "unique" content of your material that raises your blog above those of other FBers . Borrowing from MikeA .... I wouldn't give a plugged nickel for those others blogs :) I come back to yours because you've got something that the others don't. An interesting perspective that isn't a "canned ham".
    Keep up the good work
    respectfully

  6. OK.....lets try again, Calvin, now this is stuff I like to read! The other place seems to be getting bogged down with all the chest thumping and back patting, but it is what it is. The history and the breeding of this game is my first like. So, congrats and keep it going. Long live the great Fappiano!
