It’s always good to win. However, Dallas and I are so excited and thankful for Good Magic who finished second in Kentucky Derby 144. It's been exciting to watch Good Magic's progress on the Kentucky Derby Trail – 20 months ago he was one of our best of sale picks at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
I like what trainer Chad Brown said of Good Magic in a BloodhorseDaily online magazine article:

He came out of the race really well, Brown said of Good Magic's runner-up effort. I'm so proud of this horse and the way he ran and prepared for this race. He was so straightforward and focused. We asked him to do something, and he did it. Even the track—he handled the track fine—so no excuses there. He ran terrific. He was just second-best.

Dallas and I wish Good Magic much success and we are looking forward to watch him as he continues to thrill and excite in the remaining races on the Triple Crown Trail.

At the 2016 Keeneland September sale, we debuted our Classic Champion Thoroughbred Profile® software as a sales analytical tool and out of 2,334 yearling colts, we profiled 101 colts that had an A or A+ grade ranking. From that sales list four horses ran in the 2018 Kentucky Derby:
Eclipse Champion Two Year Old Colt, Good Magic (Hip 845), winner of the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile Stakes (G1) and Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G2), Vino Rosso (Hip 528), winner of the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2), Free Drop Billy (Hip 104), winner of the Claiborne Breeders' Futurity Stakes (G1), and the multiple graded-stakes placed Solomini (Hip 662).
In addition, we also have from that 2016 sales list Archaggelos (Hip 2138), winner of the Grey Stakes (G3), and the multiple graded stakes-placed Hollywood Star (Hip 395). Stakes-placed colts from our list are: Wentz (Hip 1029)Stronger (Hip 4154) and Tigerbeach (Hip 2001).
From foal to finish line™ the Classic Champion Thoroughbred Profile® is the analytical tool you need for breeding, purchasing at auction and racing equine champions:
